A few years on from the pandemic, we’re more into travelling and seeing the world than ever before. As we begin to wrap up 2023 and look to the year ahead, it’s time to let the wanderlust take over and start thinking about our future travel plans. With that in mind, Airbnb has just unveiled its annual list of destinations set to take over in the new year, based on rising searches and major milestones in 2024.
Japan features three times on the list, with Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto proving to be part of many an itinerary next year, alongside Paris, which is set to host the 2024 Olympic Games. According to Airbnb, searches for the Olympics dates in July and August have already increased by seven times compared to this year.
Elsewhere, more exotic destinations are appearing on the list, proving that 2024 travellers are keen to explore a little further afield. Brazil features three times in the list, alongside destinations like Save The Duck and Puerto del Carmen, Canary Islands, Spain.
