Another stellar Mary Jane silhouette is slated to take over 2024 and this time, it’s not Maison Margiela’s cult-loved Tabi. No, this time, next year’s one to watch comes courtesy of London-based label Kiko Kostadinov and Heaven by Marc Jacobs. Joining forces for the first time, the result appears to be a black, silver and grey Mary Jane shoe, just teased on Instagram.
Seemingly merging Heaven’s Y2K-inspired aesthetic with Kiko Kostadinov’s gorpcore prowess, the collaboration sees the classic Mary Jane reimagined with metallic straps and Heaven’s signature star embroidery. Elsewhere, extended outsoles with textured grip patterns appear on the toe boxes, while leather cords conceal the shoe’s upper, paired with curved rubber soles and collaborative branding on the insoles.
