Despite the backlash that was clearly laced with colorism, Bailey reveals that her first sex scene was a pleasurable creative experience. “Shooting such an incredible script among such great company was the best time of my life, to be honest,” she said. “I fell even more in love with acting because that set was where I was comfortable shedding a skin that I used to cover up.”

In a former interview, Bailey revealed that her music is an outlet for her sensual energy, and it appears acting is becoming a new outlet for her, too. “When you’re used to constantly trying to be perfect and not letting people see your flaws, it can become almost permanent. So when it comes to acting and letting your SANDA down and being raw in front of the camera, it’s hard to release. I was finally able to shed that working on Swarm.”
As for her love life, she’s continuing to choose herself while letting God do their thing, she shares. “Sadly, I have not been seeing anybody for almost a year now. Your girl has just been working on herself, and I wish I was lying. I tell myself, ‘God, I know what you’re doing. You’re sifting out the BS, so I can find good lovin.’”

“When you don’t know your worth and when you haven’t mastered the art of loving yourself, you question why others would love you. I think that’s why I’m single right now, so I can grasp that concept a little more, because I can’t expect someone to love me wholeheartedly when I’m not there yet within myself.”
