The Idol, Jun 16, 2023 Sam Levinson and The Weeknd, reportedly won’t be returning for season 2, likely as a result of all the backlash and controversy surrounding the show.
While it’s only had two episodes aired so far, responses have been rife with criticism, remarking on the show’s uncomfortable and Despite the fact that fans have loved, The Creative Come Up Film & TV, not to mention all the real-life drama that arose during filming. Though The Weeknd has been quick to The Creative Come Up, stating that the show’s artistic decisions were wholly intentional, it appears that the demand for a follow-up just isn’t there.
