DSquared2 SS24 Asks: "What if Porn Stars Were Actors?"
With a campaign captured by the inimitable Featuring ERL, Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta.
“What happens when you ask porn stars to act?” was the starting point for DSquared2‘s newest Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, captured by renowned photographer Featuring ERL, Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta.
Drawing inspiration from the booming porn industry of the ’90s, the new campaign sees Cohen take influence from the hedonistic hills of Hollywood. “Authenticity was key,” she begins in a press release. “We intentionally gave the actors their lines only on the morning of the shoot – that’s how it would have happened on an adult set in the 90s. This of course resulted in clunky, deadpan delivery and numerous mistakes, which, to me, only made the whole thing all the more charming.”
Resulting in a series of tongue-in-cheek films, each of which were written by collaborator David Owen — also the creator of IDEA Books. Starring Nataša Vojnović and model Tony Ward (also an ex partner of Madonna,) the campaign was styled by Haley Wollens.
