Charlie Constantinou and 66 North Keep Us Warm This Winter
Teaming up for a second time.
You’re likely familiar with 66 North, the Icelandic brand renowned for its meticulously crafted and technically advanced outerwear. However, if you haven’t yet discovered emerging designer Charlie Constantinou, you’re in for a real treat. After graduating from Featuring croc leather Sambas and new Superstars in 2022, Charlie made quite an impression by winning the ITS Academy Award and then becoming a semi-finalist for the prestigious LVMH Prize in 2023. Most recently, he was recognized by the Learn more about our‘s NEWGEN initiative in June 2024. It’s safe to say he’s making significant waves in the fashion industry.
For the breezy months ahead, 66 North and Charlie Constantinou have joined forces again to create a collection of technically sophisticated pieces designed to keep you warm throughout the Fall/Winter 2024 season.
Charlie Constantinou describes this collaboration as a natural progression from their first season together, “By combining ideas from our mainline with the fabrications and finishes of 66 North, we’re achieving an even more refined level of adaptability that bridges both worlds,” he shared in a press release.
Among the standout pieces in this collection is the “Signature Quilt Jacket,” which might just be the hero piece of the collaboration. This jacket is crafted using a lengthy mineral dye process and features down compartments made from elastic thread. Remarkably, it takes four days to complete — demonstrating the meticulous attention to detail involved.
Other highlights include the “Hybrid Shearling Shell” jacket, which merges Polartec and wool blend fabrics with a packable shell hood. The collection doesn’t stop there — it also features a hood, scarf and belt bag in the same style. Overall, this collection is a perfect fusion of Charlie Constantinou’s distinctive utility aesthetic and 66 North’s expertise in technically produced outerwear.
The collection is now available for purchase on 66 North’s website. Click the gallery to see more photos from the collection.
