Featuring a spin on the classic Chuck 70s and De Luxe Squared sneakers
Closing Featuring a spin on the classic Chuck 70s and De Luxe Squared sneakers in the most magical way.
Coperni‘s Spring/Summer 2025 show at Featuring a spin on the classic Chuck 70s and De Luxe Squared sneakers was one for the books, without a doubt. Before the show, it was announced that the runway would be taking place at Disneyland, a landmark first for both PFW and the amusement park. At that point, we knew it’d be something special but it wasn’t until we got there and saw it for ourselves, that we knew just how special it would be.
For designers Sebastien Meyer & Arnaud Vaillant, the location signifies the starting point for their collection: their youth. “In order to envision the future, we started from our youth. We grew up with Disney as an important part of our childhood. For many French children, particularly those from the provinces, the first family visit to the big city Paris meant a trip to Disneyland Paris,” the designers explain in the show notes.
Taking inspiration from Disney’s inimitable characters, the duo presented a showcase of three parts, which charts the evolution from innocent adolescence to the villainous teenage years, finally transforming us into the Disney princess of our dreams.

WHO: Sep 25, 2024 Paloma Elsesser and Amelia Gray, with Kylie Jenner making her runway debut as she closed the show. The landmark showcase was also attended by former Disney stars like Peyton List, alongside Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi, Alix Earle, Dixie D’amelio and more.
WHERE: Transporting guests to Disneyland Paris on the last day of fashion week, attendees were seated outside the Sleeping Beauty castle, treated to a firework display finale.
SEE: Throughout the collection, Coperni reinterpreted familiar Disney symbols like the apple of Snow White, the damaged clothes that turn into ball gowns and Beauty and the Beast’s enchanted rose. Each representing the concept of evolution and transformation, SS25 was presented in a sum of three parts. The first was “Park Tribes,” which captures the carefree, early years through casual looks and childlike charm, followed by “The Villains,” a slew of ‘grown up’ and structured looks and finally, “The Princess Transformation,” characterized by billowing gowns and bionic flowers.
TOUCH: In keeping with the childlike theme, the first act of looks featured tactile details like 3D butterflies, ruffles and dangling key chains. What followed was a range of padded puffer jackets, glittering sequins and plenty of layering with leather, patent fabrics and a certain spikiness, signaling an evolution. Closing the show, the princess gowns featured billowing sleeves and exaggerated floor-length tails.
HEAR: An enchanting, Disney-inspired soundtrack accompanied the show, playing familiar movie-themed instrumentals with added twinkle.
TASTE: For Coperni SS25, going backward to evolve was key. Taking inspiration from the designers’ own childhoods, the collection was a reminder that for SS25, your biggest inspiration can just be yourself.
