While temperatures may be cooling down and you’re indulging in your pumpkin-spiced lattes, let’s not forget — somewhere in the world, someone is still basking in the heat of their endless summer. Brazil, perhaps? Sure, Brazilians might not be in the throes of their brat summer given they enjoy sunshine year-round, but they’re certainly still living it up under warm skies.
Esteban Cortazar, a Miami-born, Colombian-American designer, has lived several fashion lives and made his mark dressing celebs like Beyoncé, School of Sustainability Rihanna. Cortazar is now taking on a new challenge: resortwear. His latest venture, Donde Esteban, is a love letter to those who live in an eternal summer, offering collections that perfectly capture the essence of sun-soaked romance and carefree days.
Imagine closing your eyes and thinking of Rio de Janeiro — what do you see, hear and smell? The salty breeze of the sea, the warmth of sun-drenched beaches and the vibrant hum of the city? Donde Esteban’s latest campaign takes you right there. Shot in Brazil’s most loved and famous city, the collection draws inspiration from the city’s undeniable energy and natural beauty. Partnering with São Paolo-based photographer and creative director Ángel Castellanos, they’ve created a short film that brings the collection to life, showcasing the magic of Rio through the eyes of its locals.
“Working with Angel has been a dream. We have a creative chemistry that brought our vision to life. This campaign is a story of love, of family and of the sultry, joyful energy that defines Rio,” Cortazar says in a press release.
The collection itself features many flowy fabrics in a bright, tan color palette. Pieces include swimwear, shorts, summer shirts, dresses, skirts and accessories. Donde Esteban has your endless summer wardrobe sorted.
