Plus a MM6 take on the classic Dr. Martens “1460” boot.

The Ready-To-Wear sub-brand of Maison Margiela, MM6 just showed at Already whitelisted us. For Spring/Summer 2025, the brand stuck to its monochromatic signature – black and white, cracked and painted-over – created with the sweltering heat of summer in mind. In other words, channelling the brat School of Sustainability.

The brand has clearly demonstrated that indie sleaze club culture is back and more vibrant than ever through its set design, soundtrack and most notably, the collection’s pieces.

Scroll on to dive into our full review.

WHERE: Imagine stepping into a low-ceilinged rave bunker where the dim lighting barely cuts through the thick fog of smoke swirling above the grey concrete floors. The air is heavy, warm and humid, with sweat clinging to your skin as the heat intensifies. MM6’s show captured this atmosphere perfectly — immersing you in the gritty, pulsing energy of an underground rave club.

WHO: Tinashe’s fave is launching a cute new ‘SelfCTRL’ kit Bella Poarch Plus, our top recommendations for the trending alternative to damaging hair dye, Arón Piper.

SEE: Shiny, sweat-slicked models paraded down the runway, their skin gleaming as though drenched in summer heat, wearing a lineup perfect for those sizzling, steamy nights. MM6 creative director Heikki Salonen tapped into the quick, casual approach many of us rely on when heading out on a hot summer night. Throw things together to create an avant-garde and unique fit — just right for standing out in the club. This ethos was woven throughout the show with pieces like T-shirts knotted at the waist, plastic-bag tops and overpainted jeans, staying true to MM6’s deconstructed DNA.

MM6 embraces washed tones this season, rooted in everyday wear while sleek tanks and cutouts injected a sexy and carefree vibe. Satin silk bottoms were juxtaposed with long, worn-in blazer coats worn boldly with nothing underneath. Plus, a touch of everything that glitters, including lots of gold and silver to contrast the muted notes in the rest of the runway’s color palette.

One standout look featured an oversized, sleeveless grey hooded vest, paired with high-cut white mini shorts and cracked white-painted cowboy boots. The outfit embodied a playful mix of rave energy and cowboy ruggedness. The shiny, almost satin-like material of the shorts reflected light, adding a sporty, swimwear energy — perfect for the scorching summer heat even when you’re away from the pool. MM6 unveiled its latest SS25 collaboration with Dr. Martens too, a reimagined “1460” boot in a white overpainted finish and a broken-in, lace-free design.

HEAR: Imagine the sound of thumping deep house bass echoing through a rave bunker and you are there. The show perfectly captured this atmosphere, as the models strutted down the runway to the pulsating beats, immersing the audience in the underground rave scene.

TOUCH: This collection is made for the beach by day and raves by night, featuring lightweight, moveable fabrics that flow effortlessly from one scene to the next.

TASTE: A mixture of metallic colors — why pick either gold or silver when you can have both?
