Colombian-born Kali Uchis presents her “Only Girl” music video above. Featuring Vince Staples and The Internet’s Steve Lacy, its a 90s-inspired production – case-in-point, peep those corded phone and pastel pink-mod loveseats. “I was inspired by fake love, Edie Sedgwick, Nancy Sinatra and Calle 13,” said Uchis. “The video speaks on how disposable/replaceable ‘lovers’ are treated and the things we will say/do out of loneliness.” There’s no stopping Kali — this is her year, and she’s currently in-studio working on her inaugural album, after just touring North America with Leon Bridges and releasing her critically-acclaimed project Por Vida.
