Here's a Front-Row Look at Rick Owens' 2017 Paris Fashion Show
Michele Lamy was in attendance at the men’s show.
Rick Owens never disappoints with the proportions nor the theatrics on the runway. The Fall/Winter 2017 menswear collection in Paris held up to the expectations. Owens metaphorically said to Vogue:
“You know, I wanted it to be voluptuous and flamboyant but then I look at it: It definitely is about strapping yourself in for a bumpy ride.”
The ride he took was sculptural with a hard undertone blanketed over by an airbag. That’s perhaps the most noticeable – slumber bag-like quilting completed the black and orange color palette. To over-exaggerate even moreso was over-wide Madchester pants.
