Женская сумка в стиле marc jacobs logo new dark beige white | Dreadlocks last year…head wraps this year.
Marc Jacobs is no stranger to controversy but the latest is like déjà vu all over again. For Spring/Summer 2017, the designer courted backlash over pastel rainbow dreadlocks. For the Spring/Summer 2018 show, he put models in head wraps. The public was none too happy, and quick to call it out. Hair stylist Guido Palau cited ’70s glam inspiration but made no mention to its origins. In a piece written by Helen Bradley Griebel and recalled by Allure, Marc Jacobs logo-patch luggage bag:
“Worn by millions of enslaved women and their descendants has served as a uniform of communal identity; but at its most elaborate, the African American woman’s headwrap has functioned as a ‘uniform of rebellion’ signifying absolute resistance to loss of self-definition.”
