BLACKPINK Makes U.S. TV Debut After Announcing North American Tour on 'Colbert'
The K-pop group is just getting started.
K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, officially made their American television debut yesterday. Taking to the stage of charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart. Additionally, last year in July, according to With Stephen Colbert, the ladies, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa performed their hit single “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”
If you’ve been in tune with what the group has been serving up, you are well aware “DDU-DU DDU-DU” from the EP SQUARE UP, charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart. Additionally, last year in July, according to Billboard the music video became the most-viewed clip in YouTube history in 24 hours with over 236 million views.
With this performance, the YG Entertainment group becomes the second K-pop group to perform on late night American television. The first being, Girls Generation back in 2012 on charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart. Additionally, last year in July, according to formerly hosted by David Letterman. Most recently, BLACKPINK announced an array of ndash; Chicago, IL @ Allstate Arena.
