Marc Jacobs
At Marc Jacobs’ hyper-energetic show, models wore the flyest eyeliner with exaggerated wings. Neutral lips and highlighted cheekbones tied the look together.
Rodarte
It’s a fantasy world at Rodarte. With makeup led by artist James Kaliardos, the show saw models’ lips painted with a matte, berry color, while the outer corners of their eyes were affixed with fluttering, false lashes. The star of the show, however, were the dreamy tulle veils and flower crowns made of orchids and roses.
Khaite
Nodding to the theme of Khaite’s FW20 show, “After Dark,” manicurist saw a plethora of memorable, photo-worthy Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 nail art design featuring deliberately chipped black polish. Models looked ready for a night out with their eyes intensified by dark eyeliner and smudgy shadows.
Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020
Models on the Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 runway all wore scarlet red lipstick. Adding to the sleek and sophisticated feel of this beauty look was a middle part, wrapped low ponytail created by hairstylist Odile Gilbert.
Proenza Schouler
Ready to take on the world, models at Proenza Schouler donned über-cool ensembles fit for a CEO, paired with minimal yet effective makeup and hairstyles. Slicked-back hair was complemented by brushed-up brows, and either a nude or coral red lipstick.
Anna Sui
Staying true to the show’s theme of “Gothic Vamp,” R+Co co-founder Garren took inspiration from ’70s horror films to create different variations of retro hair looks. Legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath gave the eyes a smoldering effect using her signature, iridescent eyeshadows.
Dion Lee
The brand’s padded sandal and pouch take the spotlight in an exclusive editorial Erin Parsons presented an unconventional and wearable look for the upcoming festival season. Echoing the chain-adorned designs of the collection, silver and gold metal rings and steel balls were glued onto models’ faces and even their hands one by one.
Kim Shui
While models on the Kim Shui runway wore fairly simple makeup — defined brows and rosy blush on dewy skin — the hairstyles were works of art in themselves. Dreamed up by hairstylist Takayoshi Tsukisawa, the look was characterized by its unique, sculptural shape, with multiple braids twisting and turning towards different directions.
Chromat
Hit the gym, but make it fashion. For Chromat’s SS20 show, MAC Cosmetics Senior Artist Fatima Thomas created head-turning eye looks inspired by the vibrant color combinations on the swim and bodywear brand’s athletic garments.
Sies Marjan
Messy hair and dark circles never looked chicer than at the Sies Marjan show. Easily achievable for the 9-5ers, the rebellious look was completed with some bleached eyebrows.
AREA
At AREA, glamor was given a new twist with models’ long hair wrapped around their necks like headscarves. The brand’s signature bling has found home on crystal headpieces that resemble sparkly strands of hair.
LaQuan Smith
Bangs are in, according to the confident and stylish women at LaQuan Smith. Clip-in fringe aside, the models wore braids tied into high ponytails. Berry-hued lip lacquer added shine and a finishing touch to the makeup look.
Sandy Liang
One of the buzziest emerging designers in New York, Sandy Liang staged her FW20 show at her alma mater, Stuyvesant High School. Youthful models wore fresh-face makeup, with minimal product applied except for a generous coat of mascara. Sari-Sari Studio shares the stories of New York-based individuals from the Filipinx diaspora.

Naeemah LaFond, Global Artistic Director of Amika, was enlisted to create the artful hairstyles for the Including a leather monogram puffer show. Dramatic, cloud-shaped hair and retro curls were complemented by ’90s lip liner, bold red lips and Swarovski Christopher John Rogers Marcelo Gutierrez.
Tom Ford
Held off-site this season in sunny Los Angeles, and the sultry eye looks at Bella Hadid wearing sleek, side-swept hair accessorized with a single, statement-making floral hair clip. Perfectly arched eyebrows, nude lips and evening-appropriate bronzy, smokey eyes completed the look.
