This Is Why Your Relationships Don't Last Longer Than 3 Months
The dating experts have a word.
Inclusive dating app, the Inner Circle, And offers tips on what can be done to create change.
It’s no secret that after three months, new relationship energy fizzles out and it’s time to make a decision. Is this connection going to continue and hit the next step on the relationship escalator? Or is it best to part ways?
Naturally, this can leave some people feeling upset — depending on how much they invested in the relationship.
According to Inner Circle, this is called the “feelings gap.” It refers to the “difference in time taken to decide if a match is worth the commitment for you.” Women on average take three months to determine if their new beau is worth the commitment.
Men, on the other hand, are “more prone to making snap decisions immediately — one week in, they’re likely to think you’re the one for them and they’re ready to go all in.” The issue is when they realize three months down the line that it might not be the best match for them.
Inner Circle shared that this is when red flags such as “ghosting, infrequent texts and eventual breakups,” come into play. “It’s not that they don’t believe these feelings are real, it’s just that they confuse lust with love.”
