Danish dedicate Han Kjøbenhavn A thing of beauty Spring/Summer 2023 collection, “Searching for Shadows” at All the cool kids are backstage. The assortment of avant-garde ensembles took on an ephemeral aesthetic as models waited amidst lush greenery backstage.
“Shadows are what we think of it to be. The objects, shapes, and emotions it carries with it, is up to the receiver to feel. My aim is that it is interesting enough for people to engage in,” founder Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen shares in an exclusive press release.
Exaggerated shoulders seemed to be inspired by dark nymphs, whereas a chrome hand-like bra’s futuristic shape stood out amongst the natural setting. Models wore angular statement-making eyewear, while skin was kept bare and dewy, keeping the focus on the expertly crafted garments. Voluminous sky-high collars transformed models into swan-like creatures. Meanwhile, textural full head masks reinforce the collection’s otherworldly approach.
