Tekla and AURALEE Tribute the Bathing Rituals of Onsen
Blending Japanese and Scandinavian practices with a new limited collection.
Tekla and AURALEE have teamed up on a new limited-edition collection, drawing inspiration from the bathing rituals of “Onsen,” also known as hot springs. Exploring the intersection of Japanese and Scandinavian practices, the team-up aims to celebrate the bathing rituals that connect us, through a selection of towels, sleepwear, outerwear and knitted accessories.
Specifically exploring the moments after an onsen, returning to the cold evening, the collection is rooted in AURALEE’s fabric development expertise alongside Tekla’s signature sleepwear and towel designs. Grounded in the experience of onsen, the collection includes a special “onsen-sized” towel, with colorways tributing the earthy regions where these hot springs naturally occur.
“By combining both brand’s expertise and shared values, we are proud to introduce a unique collection that centres and celebrates bathing rituals across Japanese and Scandinavian cultures, finding the synergies within,” explains Charlie Hedin, Founder and Creative Director at Tekla.
