A grunge revival of the “Pelotas Ariel” and shoe.
Camper has long been known for its durable, high-quality shoes designed for everyday wear. Traditionally, its materials have been chosen for their resilience, making Camper a go-to brand for work-ready footwear. Recently it has successfully expanded its appeal to a younger audience who might not be as familiar.
From its eye-catching “Kobarah” sandals to the innovative CamperLabs line, the brand has shown a keen understanding of diverse age groups and consistently evolved its designs — and, as a result — gained increased popularity.
This season, Camper is embracing the resurgence of the Y2K grunge aesthetic by reintroducing the “Pelotas,” a classic model from 1995. The design of the “Pelotas” was inspired by vintage, hand-stitched sports balls — think worn, rugged and remarkably durable.
This “Pelotas” collection features an 87-ball rubber sole paired with a premium European vegetable-tanned leather upper. It includes both the “Pelotas” boot and shoe, which is available in black and gray. The boot, in particular, is styled as a boxing-inspired boot with a distinctive, hand-brushed finish.
The “Pelotas” collection is now available to purchase online. Click the gallery to check out more photos of the collection.
