Inspired by the P-51 Mustang fighter jet, the Air Jordan 5 took things to a new level for Jordan Brand when it launched in 1990. Designed by Tinker Hatfield once again, the kicks debuted during an All-Star game MJ played in and originally launched in four OG colourways: “Black/Metallic”, “White/Fire Red”, “Fire Red” and “Grape”. Since then, the kicks have remained a constant amongst the Jordan Brand lineup and have launched in hundreds of popular colourways.
We’ve recently seen collaborations using the AJ5 as the blank canvas for creativity, including those with Off-White, A Ma Maniére and DJ Khaled.
