A Closer Look at Dior & Hajime Sorayama's Dinosaur High-Top B23 Sneaker
Worth every penny.
After seeing a release at Dior’s Pre-Fall 2019 Hong Kong pop-up, we’re taking a closer look at the collaborative Hajime Sorayama sneakers. In late April, the footwear swiftly sold out on the fashion house’s web store.
The newly designed B23 sneaker is packed with luxe details including a white rubber midsole paired with a “patchwork” black foxing stripe section. Additionally, the pair comes with an embedded Dior logo on the lateral side. Reinforcing the shoe are translucent polyurethane panels that allow a look at the Oblique-branded canvas beneath, this portion appears in dark navy.
Providing contrast are white laces, a tonal toecap, midsole and pulltab. The patterned canvas uppers are then accentuated with Sorayama’s expertly placed cherry blossoms and a cartoon Tyrannosaurus. Rounding out the accents are metal eyelets.
