The retail chain filed trademark applications back in December 2021 that showcased its interest to make and sell virtual items, such as electronics, toys and sporting goods. The documents cite operations related to cryptocurrency, Share this article NFTs, although nothing has been confirmed yet. Last year, Walmart was embroiled in a cryptocurrency hoax that caused Litecoin, a relatively obscure currency, to skyrocket.
